CUE MUSIC: PITY THE CHILD
MELISSA:
Could you, care for a child.
Who's thoroughly bad, but so needs to be.
Cared for by someone, pity a child, inside of me.
MELISSA:
Please, just pity a child.
Don't let them all die, inside of me.
Can't you give one just something.
Just one little something.
To keep them alive, to just let them be.
For so many years.
We've been all these people, that you see.
Won't somebody please care for.
One of the children, inside of me.
SUSAN:
Hiding, way down inside.
So thoroughly bad, instilling such fear.
That even the bold ones, keep well away.
Never go near.
There's a part, that broke off her heart.
It's kept in a place, where no one goes.
Yet it's meaning and purpose.
Have never been clear.
'Cos sometimes it dies.
And sometimes it grows.
MELISSA:
And the feeling, of power.
Whenever those feelings, we can see.
Is so overwhelming.
I want to beg you.
Take care of me.
MELISSA:
Who'll, care for a child.
That's thoroughly bad.
But so needs to be.
Cared for by someone.
Pity a child, inside of me.
Please, just pity a child.
Don't let them all die, inside of me.
Can't you give one just something.
Just one little something.
To keep them alive, to just let them be.
MELISSA:
For so many years.
We've been all these people, that you see.
Won't somebody please care for.
One of the children, inside of me.
